Heatbath Corporation's (www.heatbath.com) Nitec product family includes several distinct types of electroless nickel to satisfy a range of performance and coating requirements. "Mid-phos" and "Hi-phos" Nitec products provide corrosion protection at minimum thicknesses. For example, "Hi-phos" offers 500 hours of salt spray and is used for components with complex geometries. Nitec "High Speed" is a low-cost electroless nickel engineered to benefit a range of substrates such as steel, copper, brass, and zinc. Plated over aluminum, the product substantially improves wear resistance. Characteristics include high stability, high batch-to-batch repeatability, and uniformity of brightness throughout the life of the bath.
