Torque sensor employs bonded-foil strain gauges

The STS Series reaction-type shaft torque sensor has been developed by Transducer Techniques Inc. (www.ttloadcells.com) It is installed between devices such as motors, switches, shafts, or axles and their mounting plates to provide bi-directional torque output. The sensors are available in six capacity ranges from 600 through 12,000 lb ¥ in, and are made from 17-4ph heat-treated stainless steel. The sensing element incorporates high-quality bonded-foil strain gauges and is sealed for protection against most industrial environments.
