Fluoropolymer resin used to surface aircraft interior panels
-
DuPont (www.teflon.com)Tedlar PVF film is being used to construct interiors of DC-9 aircraft. The film provides interior panels with a highly stain-resistant surface that is impenetrable by skin oils, food stains, ink, or grease. The film also delivers resistance to UV attack and strong detergents used to clean aircraft cabins. The panels surfaced with Tedlar meet FAA regulations for smoke density, flammability, and heat release. Laminates made with Tedlar also deliver advantages in design and fabrication. The surfacing laminates readily conform to sharp curvatures.
