Microdot, a division of Kaynar Technologies, introduces its Ring-Lox threaded inserts, studs, and lockrings designed to provide strong mechanical attachment points in softbase material. Their design prevents looseness with high pull-out and torque-out resistance. The inserts and studs receive their high torsional resistance capability from a lockring serrated on its internal and external surfaces. The lockring simultaneously engages a serrated collar on the insert or stud and self-broaches into soft-base materials such as aluminum, magnesium, or cast iron. The inserts, studs, and lockrings are made of alloy and stainless steel, titanium, and inconel.
