Polytec PI's CLV-3D is a 3-D laser Doppler vibrometer that measures x, y, and z components of structural vibration simultaneously. The system eliminates the need to attach triaxial accelerometers and can be used on structures for which contact is impossible or leads to inaccurate or unreliable data. Typical applications include hot, lightweight, miniature, tightly curved, or ultrasonically excited structures such as jet engine turbine blades, automotive exhausts, and microelectronics.
