Connectors for IFE

Aircraft recently placed into service with Air Canada and South African Airways are using a new In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system from Sony Trans Com. The system has an all-fiber backbone using AMP's fiber-optic Expanded Beam connector system. The high-bandwidth capability of the fiber-optic backbone enables video-on-demand for 500 passenger seats.
