Cabin management system
DPI Labs' Smart-Link III Cabin Management Operating System upgrade incorporates
the company's latest technology for integrated cabin management and entertainment
systems, combining minimal installed weight with functionality and reliability.
The SL III architecture is scaleable from minimal to complex systems and is
easily configurable to accommodate future aircraft enhancements. The system's
in-flight entertainment system controls, reading/cabin lighting, air controls,
and cabin attendant call functions are conveniently integrated into a centrally
managed panel that provides systematic orchestration for all devices. Additional
auxiliary control panels may be added in the aft or forward cabin seating areas.
Dual-usage contactors
The
K Series 200-400 A, 28-V dc contactors from CII Technologies' Hartman Products
are used in dc power distribution systems for private, military, and commercial
aircraft as well as high-performance ground vehicles. These small, lightweight
contactors, with a mass between 227-342 g, are also highly flexible. The dual-usage
contactors are designed for continuous operation at 200, 300, or 400 A, 28-V
dc or for start-duty applications requiring starter inrush currents up to 1000-2000
A.
Engine repair solution
Morgan
Advanced Ceramics' WESGO Metals Div.'s PreSintered Preform (PSP) aircraft engine
repair solution combines super-alloy and braze powders. PSP is specifically
designed to refurbish the cold-section compressors and super-alloy hot-section
components of aircraft engines. It brings distorted and worn airfoil contours
back to their original shape. Such repairs restore efficiency and extend the
life of components to safe operating levels at a fraction of the cost of a new
part. This product can be used to repair airfoil throat reduction and dimensional
restoration of high-pressure turbine nozzle guide vanes.
Zoom-in borescope
The
Zoom/Swing Prism borescope from Olympus America Inc. enables inspectors to quickly
scan large areas and to zoom in for a magnified view of suspected defects without
switching to a high-magnification scope or attaching a zoom adaptor, which makes
the image darker. The borescope eliminates relocating the defect with a high-mag
scope and increases longevity because fewer insertions are required with a scope
that performs multiple functions. It delivers bright, natural images that remain
equally bright even when magnified.
Laser microgage
Pinpoint
Laser Systems manufactures a 2-D microgage for precision measurement, machine
alignment, calibration, and other demanding industrial applications. With a
precision of 0.001 in, the microgage can be used for measuring in two axial
directions at the same time, even when the laser and the receiver are separated
by 35 ft or more. For customers aligning machinery, adjusting fixtures, checking
run-out, gauging large parts, and setting rolls and shafts, the unit provides
a precise measurement in the vertical and horizontal directions.
