Dust seals

Designed for use in helicopter precision rotor-bearing assemblies, Pelmor Laboratories, Inc.'s dust seal rings are custom molded from nitrile elastomer compounds. Close manufacturing tolerance requirements require the use of an elastomer that bonds well to G-10 fiberglass and precision in both design and molding. Incorporated into helicopter main rotor bearing assemblies, the seals are subjected to a variety of aggressive elements. Nitrile was selected because of its ability to withstand temperature extremes of -50° to +250°F and to resist attack by more than 750 corrosive oils, chemicals,
and liquids.
