IEC International is offering the in-flight entertainment industry's first in-seat integrated DVD (digital versatile disc) video entertainment system. The system plays audio and video DVDs, is a direct replacement for conventional in-flight videotape systems and was designed specifically for the aircraft environment using MPEG2 technology, which provides high quality video and Dolby digital surround sound of theater quality.
