Electronic charting

The AVMap EKP II NT GPS from C-Map Aviation is an electronic charting system for use by general aviation pilots. The moving map system integrates the accuracy of a GPS receiver with a detailed cartographic map into a single computerized electronic map system. The unit provides cartographic information, such as coastlines, names of countries, major cities, highways, and lakes. Airport and navigational data is provided by C-MAP Aviation C-cards. Features include: aircraft position centered on screen; customizable display settings; projected course line; calculator functions for vertical navigation, wind, and fuel; storage for 10 flight plans with up to 20 legs, and 500 user-defined waypoints. The unit has as 12 parallel-channel GPS receiver that is DGPS compatible, a transflective monochrome back-lighted high resolution LCD display, and a backlit rubber keypad.
