Dassault gets safe and EASy

Two objectives were the behind the design of Dassault Falcon's EASy cockpit, both having to do with human-machine interface: improving situational awareness and reducing cockpit workload. "Human-factor problems underlie two-thirds of all (aviation) accidents. Fatal errors have been triggered by 'misunderstandings' between pilots and avionics," said Jean-François Georges, Senior Vice President of Civil Aircraft, Dassault Aviation. "The only solution is to improve situational awareness."
