Supply chain optimization for the aerospace industry

"Many aerospace engineering and manufacturing companies do not have a clear and coherent supply chain strategy which incorporates the alignment of key supply chain processes, performance management, and collaborative management systems," said Kay Boladale, Aerospace Specialist with Celerant Consulting. Because of this, efficiencies have not been realized despite increased focus on implementing IT (information technology) solutions to streamline their supply chains, enhance information flow, reduce costs, and cut delivery times.
