MCP runs in a vacuum

Although vacuum casting is a proven technology, it is one that is often overlooked because aerospace design engineers are simply not aware of the huge diversity of properties that are achievable by using modern vacuum casting resins, according to Bob Bennett, Engineering Manager, MCP Equipment Group, a tooling technology specialist and vacuum casting equipment manufacturer. "Other slower or less economical processes are often employed to produce multiple prototypes or short production runs when vacuum casting could have delivered a faster, more cost-effective solution," he said.
