UAV gets exercise
The ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) built by Boeing's Phantom Works and The Insitu Group recently completed the U.S. Joint Forces Command's "Forward Look III" exercise, a series of demonstrations and experiments that began last December and culminated in June. By the first week of July, Boeing had a contract with the U.S. Marine Corps to provide two of the UAVs for use with the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq.
