Boeing goes quietly...
Boeing has joined the Cambridge-MIT Institute's (CMI) Silent Aircraft Initiative, which aims to transform the noise footprint of future-generation commercial aircraft. CMI, a partnership between the University of Cambridge in the UK and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the U.S., was founded in 2000 and is establishing "Knowledge Integration Communities" to enhance knowledge exchange between academia and industry. The Silent Aircraft Initiative, a three-year project, is the first of these.
