Two avionics packages from Raytheon in MY 2000

In MY 2000, Raytheon aircraft will offer two avionics packages for the Baron 58, Bonanza A36, and Bonanza B36TC piston model aircraft. The Bonanza is shown here with the optional DME/ADF package.
Beginning in MY 2000, Raytheon Aircraft Company will offer two avionics packages for the Baron 58, Bonanza A36, and Bonanza B36TC piston-model aircraft. The standard avionics package will feature: PS Engineering PMA7000M-S audio panel-intercom system, dual GARMIN 430 NAV/COMM/GPS moving map systems with glideslope, AlliedSignal's KFC 225 autopilot/flight director with KCS 55A HSI/compass system and KT 76C Transponder, BFG WX-500 Stormscope weather mapping system, and Shadin ADC 200 fuel/airdata computer. The twin-engine Baron avionics package will include AlliedSignal's RDR 2000VP color weather radar with its separate radar indicator. Raytheon is also offering as an option to the standard package a DME/ADF package, which will include an AlliedSignal KN 63 DME and KR 87 ADF.

PS Engineering's PMA7000M-S Audio Panel-Intercom System includes digital audio playback of the previous one minute of incoming radio transmissions, simplified audio selection, and automatic audio level adjustments.

The GARMIN GNS 430 is a versatile panel-mounted product that combines global positioning system (GPS) navigation, very high frequency (VHF) communication, and moving map graphics on a large color display. This "all in one box" unit offers instrument flight rules (IFR) GPS, very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR), localizer only approach (LOC), and glideslope capability in a single, space-saving package. Information from the BFG weather-mapping system and Shadin sensors will also be displayed by the product.

AlliedSignal's KFC 225 Automatic Flight Control System is a digital system that incorporates both altitude and alert/preselect capability and yaw damper. The system provides automatic three-axis flight control and offers a compact design by integrating the autopilot/flight director, yaw computer, and all control/display functions into a single panel-mounted unit. The KFC 225 has improved algorithms that provide smooth and "flyable" steering commands and precise performance throughout an ILS approach, especially during the final phase of the approach. The system meets the latest autopilot technical standard order (TSO) and installation requirements of the FAA.

In addition to the standard avionics package, the company will offer an optional AlliedSignal avionics package for the piston product line. This will include: KMA26 audio amplifier/intercom system, dual KX 155A NAV/COMMs with glideslope, KLN 90B GPS navigation system, KN 63 DME, KR 87 ADF, KT 76C transponder, and KFC 225 autopilot/flight director with KCS 55A HSI/compass system.
