Avidyne develops avionics for Eclipse 500

At the EAA AirVenture 2000 in Oshkosh, WI, Avidyne announced its selection as an electronics systems supplier for Eclipse Aviation's new Eclipse 500 jet aircraft. The aircraft's standard avionics will include large-screen dual, liquid-crystal flight displays; integrated GPS-based flight management systems; digital flight control systems; dual air data and attitude heading reference systems; dual full-authority digital engine control systems; and an aircraft utility control system. Also featured in the avionics package are dual VHF Nav/Coms, dual localizer/glideslope receivers, dual Mode S transponders, and weather radar.
