FEMAP 6 from Enterprise Software Products, Inc. provides semi-automatic mid-surface creation, intelligent results processing, brick meshing, general
beam section properties and visualization, fast NASTRAN results import, easy-to-use contact modeling, and support for both LS-DYNA and MARC analysis programs. Two key additions are MP Assistant and SmartResults. With MP Assistant, engineers can develop idealized analysis models of thin solids using a combination of automatic and manual tools that create mid-surfaces based on the solid geometry. SmartResults applies intelligent rules to results processing in areas of geometric and material discontinuities. This allows more accurate and intuitive viewing of FEA results.
