Kia enters wagon segment
Kia's 2002 Rio station wagon - based on the Rio sedan model - features the Millenium Innovation Technology powerplant, which offers multi-port electronic fuel injection, dual overhead cams, and tuned intake and exhaust manifolds; a 1.5-L engine that produces 72 kW (96 hp) at 5800 rpm and 133 N•m (98 lb•ft) at 4500 rpm; and either a five-speed manual transmission or an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission.
