Turbo power for Opel coupe

Opel/Vauxhall
Coupe will be built by Bertone.
|
Coupes maintain their popularity in Europe, and now Opel/Vauxhall is adding the Astra-based Coupe. It will be built by Bertone in a new plant near Turin. Production target is 30,000-plus a year. Due to be unveiled at this month's Frankfurt Motor Show, the Coupe will have a choice of engines including a 2.0-L (122 in3) producing 140kW (190 hp). Styling is an extrapolation of that of the Astra but with a steeply raked windshield, which helps contribute to a very good Cd of 0.28. Its two doors are frameless. The car is described as a four-seater. Compared to the Astra, the Coupe is 20 mm (0.78 in.) lower.
