SEAT's Ibiza Cupra Turbo.
|
SEAT, the Spanish element of the widely spread Volkswagen Group, showed the Ibiza Cupra Turbo at the Barcelona Motor Show. It has been developed by Walter de Silva, previously with Alfa Romeo. With a 2.0-L (122 in3) 116-kW (156 bhp) 20-valve engine, the car is the most powerful production model so far from SEAT. 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time is said to be sub-eight seconds. The Cupra Turbo has a full leather interior and automatic climate control. The car features SEAT's new corporate front styling. The Ibiza range now offers 11 engines, with gasoline units conforming to EU Phase IV emissions scheduled for 2005.
