Preview: Frankfurt big on technology, design, space
Everything about the Frankfurt Motor Show is big: the exhibition halls, the stands, the news, the last-minute surprises, the attendance figures, and, through the concepts that are revealed with a flourish, the promise of cars to come. This year will be no exception, with a widening breadth of technology and design. Many companies keep details of their new models—production and concept—on the secret list until a week or two before the show or possibly until the first media day. But as we closed for press, several manufacturers were able to lift the veil on what is to come in 2006 and beyond.
