London sees the Trajet

Hyundai chose the London Motor Show to unveil the Trajet, its first multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). The seven-seater is slightly larger than the Volkswagen Sharan/Ford Galaxy MPV. Engine choices are a 2.0-L and a 2.7-L V6 gasoline unit plus a 2.0-L diesel planned for 2000. Entry to the rear seats is via two standard hinged doors. There are seven individual seats for greater configuration versatility. Trajet was styled at Hyundai Motor Europe's Frankfurt design studio and took 30 months to develop. The car is being built at Hyundai's Ulsan No. 2 plant in Korea.
