Micro Contacts goes nonmetal
A new electromechanical contact for engine control systems, accelerator pedal sensors, and other vehicle applications operates for more than 500 million cycles with virtually no wear, according to its maker, Micro Contacts Inc. The company says this level of performance trumps competitor products, including noncontact devices now in vogue, and will exceed every standard demanded for vehicle sensor applications.
