Ford tops in SPE plastics contest

A completely redesigned sports car reaped more awards for best use of plastics than any other vehicle as judged in the 34th annual Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Automotive Innovation Awards. The 2005 Ford Mustang topped two of eight categories, and its door inner panel with a safety- and sound-orientated attribute captured the top prize when judged against the other category winners.
