Material protects RVs from rock damage

Rock and road debris damage to recreational vehicles is a common and expensive problem. Mills Manufacturing has developed a device to protect them from such damage. The firm is using a grade of Lexan sheet from GE Structured Products called XL10, performing CNC machining on it for cut-outs around wipers and mirrors, and drape thermoforming it into one of more than 50 shapes configured into a CAD program to fit various vehicle styles. Called a Coach Armor shield, the device is either installed in a fold-down configuration for easy cleaning and access, or hard-mounted to a front generator system.
