Brake caliper

The XR6 caliper from Alcon Components is designed to improve brake performance in the NASCAR arena. In addition to achieving considerable reductions in both rotating and unsprung weight, the caliper's mono-block construction offers increased stiffness, and the six-piston staggered-bore design allows improved pedal feel and reduced pad taper. The caliper is machined from aircraft aluminum alloy billet for strength at high temperatures, and the pistons are made of titanium-nitrided stainless steel for increased life and reduced heat transfer.
