Steel bar

The Nitrotec processed steel bar from Macsteel's NitroSteel Div. has a 689 MPa (100,000 psi) minimum yield strength. The bar is an alternative to high-strength chrome-plated piston rod stock because it is comparable in strength, will outperform and outlast traditional chrome-plated piston rod stock, and remains cost-effective. The bar has a modified 4045 steel chemistry combining the corrosion benefits of a Nitrotec surface with the strength of an alloy steel.
