Thermoactive gaskets

Statotherm-HT thermoactive gaskets from Feodor Burgmann Dichtungswerke GmbH & Co. help combat leakage in exhaust systems as external and internal forces act to deform flange surfaces. A thermoactive sealing material of mica is manufactured in a specially developed production process. At approximately 600°C, the thermostability of mica is supplemented by a temperature-induced swelling effect, enabling the active sealing material to compensate for flange distortions by growing with the distortions and filling any gaps.
