Rotating wheel dynamometer

Kistler Instrument Corp.'s Six Component Rotating Wheel Dynamometer model 9298A contains piezoelectric sensors, an electromagnetic angle encoder, and signal conditioning to transform rotating signals to a fixed coordinate system. Output signals from the dynamometer include force components Fx, Fy, and Fz; moments Mx, My, and Mz; and the sine and cosine of the angular position of the wheel. Adapters for a wide range of hubs and rims facilitates easy vehicle installation and a patented triple flange design provides for optimum temperature compensation. The unit has 20x zoom capability on the vertical force signal.
