Surface roughness measurement

Optical Dimensions' latest Lasercheck noncontact surface roughness measurement gauge is packaged with a compact 76 x 35 x 44 mm (3.0 x 1.4 x 1.75 in) portable head that has a mass of only 0.45 kg (1 lb). The device will perform years of measurements with no maintenance and no fragile and expensive stylus tip to protect or replace. The system performs measurements in a fraction of a second, over a range of 0.006 µm (0.25 µin) to greater than 2.54 µm (100 µin) Ra roughness.
