Three-axis sensor

Datron Technology's Correvit HS-CE three-axis sensor incorporates Corrsys GmbH's pupil-splitting technology that allows for the measurement of three axes along one optical path of rays. Thus the system offers a number of benefits over sensors using traditional triangulation methods of measurement, including increased accuracy on any road condition, a measurement field diameter of 30 mm (1.2 in), and a local resolution of up to 0.5 mm (0.02 in). The system consists of three independently operated sensors mounted on the vehicle in either a T or L configuration, and the corresponding electronic components. Two sensors measure height while the third supplies the distance between the vehicle and the road surface, as well as longitudinal speed and vector velocity, transverse speed, roll angle, pitch angle, and the calculated drift angle.
