Product Briefs 3-D flatness measuring The HoloMapper noncontact measuring machine from Taylor Hobson enables measurement of flatness on rough-machined components and on large, heavy, or irregularly shaped parts. It uses 3-D holographic imaging methods invented by ERIM International for the SDI program. The device illuminates everything within its 18 x 18 cm (7 x 7 in) field of view with collimated light and gathers more than a million precise XYZ data points from every visible surface.
