Core metal insert for weatherstripping

The Gem City Engineering Co. has developed a 76-mm (3-in) core metal insert (CMI) for weatherstrip material used mainly in automotive applications. The design eliminates costly stretch bending, resists bulb deformation, and eliminates the need for coated solid materials. Rigid yet flexible, it can flow to any shape, making it especially suitable for creating shapes in steel to specialized body designs.
