Sensor detects edges and speed
-
Wabash Technologies Automotive's engine sensor features semiconductor core technology for performing high-precision edge detection and speed sensing. The device uses magnetoresistive Group III die and an analog real-time digital output circuit. It provides accurate edge resolution and/or period duty cycle under large-airgap and radial-runout conditions. Operating temperature range exceeds underhood temperature requirements. Applications include camshaft and crankshaft position for ignition, fuel, and variable valve timing; early synchronization and misfire detection; transmission input and output shaft speeds to support electronically controlled shift strategies; and wheel speed ABS and vehicle stability
management systems.
