Catalytic converter meets EURO IV limits

Degussa-Huls' catalytic converter for trucks is based on the selective catalytic reduction process that first reduces nitrogen oxide by adding urea. An oxidizing catalyst further reduces the hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide content and prevents NH3 leakage during acceleration and braking. Tests have shown that the SCR process and low-sulphur diesel fuel almost completely eliminate nitrogen oxide emissions.
