Fuel-borne catalyst

The PSA Peugeot-Citroen Group will equip its new generation of clean diesel engines with a particulate filter system using Rhodia's Eolys fuel-borne catalyst. When used in conjunction with a particulate filter, the catalyst eliminates more than 99% by number of emitted particles, including ultra-fines. Currently, particulate emission levels from vehicles equipped with the Eolys catalyst and particulate filter conform to the most stringent regulations (due to be introduced in 2004 in the U.S. and 2005 in Europe).
