Opel "convertible" Concept A

Opel's Concept A microvan interior can be converted from a four-seater to a roomy transporter and is accentuated by digital instruments and alcantara fabric on the steering wheel and seats.

Opel's Concept A microvan study is a versatile compact hatchback that can easily be converted from a four-seater to a roomy transporter. A high seating position makes the microvan easy to enter and exit and offers a commanding view of the road. Both halves of the rear bench can be folded away and stored in the vehicle floor, providing a completely flat cargo area. The front passenger seat is equipped with a similar mechanism so bulky objects can be loaded right up to the instrument panel. The combination of variable seating and an extendable loading ramp mounted on tracks makes it easy to load and transport two mountain bikes specially designed for the show car.

The Concept A's interior is accentuated by digital instruments and the integration of alcantara fabric on the steering wheel and seats. In addition to front and side airbags, seatbelt tensioners, and Opel's patented Pedal Release System, the prototype has a satellite-supported navigation system. A drawer under the driver's seat, nets integrated into the C-pillars, and a ceiling-mounted storage box provide plenty of space.
