See and be seen with Valeo technologies
Developing technologies that aid motorists driving in poor visibility conditions gives new meaning to the adage see and be seen. To improve rear-of-vehicle vision, Valeo has paired a camera with a hybrid parking aid system. "If you have an object at 1.5 m, you see a bar graph that goes to 1.5 m on the (in-vehicle) monitor. The height of the bar changes as the distance to the object changes," said Guner Sarioglu, Engineering Manager for Traffic Environment Sensing, Valeo North America, headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI.
