Intier seats are customer driven
At the beginning of September 2002, Intier Automotive was preparing to quote for the second- and third-row seating for the 2004 DaimlerChrysler minivans. The project team took an existing minivan, and in a month had reworked the floorpan to install tubs, and built in two of their concept folding designs. In October 2002 they were awarded the business, and in January 2004 production deliveries began.
